About the Race

EVENT FORMAT

Chase Your Impossible is a last-athlete-standing endurance challenge designed to test speed, resilience, and mental toughness.

Athletes will run a 1-mile (1.61 km) loop course, completing each lap within a set time limit. The challenge begins with a 12-minute time cap for Lap 1, and the allowed time decreases by 20 seconds every round.

Example – Time Decrease Per Round

  • Round 1: 12:00/mi | 7:27/km

  • Round 2: 11:40/mi | 7:15/km

  • Round 3: 11:20/mi | 7:03/km

  • Round 4: 11:00/mi | 6:50/km

  • Round 5: 10:40/mi | 6:38/km


All athletes start together on the 1-mile loop.

The first lap must be completed within 12 minutes.

After each round, the time limit decreases by 20 seconds.

If an athlete fails to finish the lap before the time expires, they are eliminated.

The race continues until only one athlete remains.

How It Works


If athletes finish their lap before the time limit, they earn that remaining time as recovery before the next round begins.

Example:

  • Lap 1 Time Limit: 12:00

  • Athlete finishes in 8:00

  • Athlete receives 4:00 of rest before the next round begins.

As the event progresses:

  • The pace required gets faster every round

  • Fatigue builds

  • Recovery time shrinks

  • Eventually, only the strongest athlete will remain.
